A Few Simple Policies That Keep Every Pet Safe
To ensure the health, safety, and comfort of every pet and person who walks through our doors, we ask all pet parents at our Rye Brook location to review and follow the policies below before their visit.
Waiting Room Policy
Keeping our waiting area safe and calm is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate your cooperation in making every visit comfortable for all our patients and their families.
- All pets must be restrained at all times in the waiting room, either on a non-retractable leash or secured in a carrier or crate. This applies regardless of your pet's temperament or training.
- If your dog or cat has a history of aggression, please inform our team when scheduling your appointment. We recommend the use of a soft muzzle during your time in the waiting area and are happy to provide one on request.
- If your pet is social and eager to greet others, please ask permission from fellow clients before allowing your pet to approach them or their animal. Not all pets are comfortable with interactions, and some may be fearful or reactive even if your pet means no harm.
- If you suspect your pet may have a contagious illness such as kennel cough, please notify our receptionist before arriving. We will make every effort to arrange separate waiting accommodations to protect the health of our other patients.
- If your pet is uncomfortable or anxious in the waiting room, please consider calling our office once you arrive and waiting in the car with your pet. We will call you when we are ready to see you and have alternate entrances that can be used to avoid the waiting room entirely if needed.
Payment Policy
In order to continue providing our Rye Brook clients with the highest standard of veterinary care, advanced technology, and a highly trained medical team, we require that all payments be made in full at the time of each appointment.
We accept the following payment methods: cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept CareCredit, a flexible healthcare financing option for clients who prefer to manage veterinary costs through a payment plan.
If you would like a cost estimate prior to your visit, our receptionists are happy to provide one. Please keep in mind that estimates are based on anticipated services and may not reflect the final cost once the veterinarian has examined your pet. We will always discuss any additional recommendations with you before proceeding with further treatment.
Pet insurance is an increasingly practical option for managing the cost of veterinary care. We encourage clients to research available plans and select coverage that best fits their pet's needs and their own budget.
