Introduction To Our Practice
We are committed to providing our clients and their pets with the benefits of technologically advanced veterinary science in a comfortable and friendly environment. Our clinical team focuses on preventative care as a time-proven approach to optimizing health and wellness in our patients.
Pets with fur, feathers, and scales can each be treated and cared for by our experienced veterinary doctors. Several of the veterinary services we offer include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, dentistry, surgical care, radiology, lab testing, and nutritional counseling. In addition to veterinary services, boarding accommodations and grooming services are also available. We offer specialty services to our clients as well, including veterinary care for exotic pets such as reptiles, birds, and small mammals.

At Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital, we know pets don’t always wait for business hours to get sick. That’s why we offer continued care for hospitalized patients after hours, and exclusive access to our trusted after-hours veterinary triage service. If something seems off with your pet outside of our regular hours, you can speak with a licensed veterinary professional who can help assess the situation, offer guidance, and help determine whether urgent care is needed - all from the comfort of your home. It’s just one of the many ways we go above and beyond to support you and your pet, whenever you need us most.
Dr. Gary Yarnell purchased the Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital (RHVH) from Dr. Howard Harmon in 1980. At the time, the practice consisted of one full-time and one part-time veterinarian, with a support staff of four, working in a single story building.
Currently, state-of-the-art medical care is provided in a modern, two-story facility which has been expanded and renovated to accommodate the growing needs of the practice, its patients, and the community.
Together, our doctors and staff work tirelessly to help ensure the furry, feathered, and scaled pets in our community live long, happy, and healthy lives with the humans who love them.
